Flaming Guns of the Purple Sage
by
Jane Martin

Performances:
Thursday, Friday, Saturday at 8pm
Sunday at 3pm
The Theater Project, Union County College's Professional
Theater Company, presents this whole-hog riot of slapstick,
satire and black humor.
Big 8 rehabilitates injured rodeo cowboys with her special
touch. Her sister works over at the local slaughterhouse.
You'll never meet a more lovable pair of butchers when
bullets and blood start flying in this satire of a western
shoot-'em-up cum horror movie.

FULLY COMMITTED follows a day in the life of Samantha
Peliczowski, an out-of-work actor who staffs the red-hot
reservation line at Manhattan's number-one restaurant.
Coercion, threats, bribes, histrionics—a cast of desperate
callers will stop at nothing in their zeal to land a prime
reservation, or the right table. Amid the barrage, Sam's got
her own needs to contend with—her recently widowed dad wants
her home for Christmas, and she's up for a choice part at
Lincoln Center. While juggling scheming socialites,
name-dropping wannabes, fickle celebrities and egomaniacal
bosses, can she manage to look out for herself? A wonderful
acting challenge, FULLY COMMITTED has forty wildly diverse
characters played by a single versatile performer.
If you wait too long to reserve, coercion, threats, and
bribes will get you nowhere!
The Star Ledger includes our production of Omnium Gatherum on its 10 Best List for 2007:
"Theresa Rebeck and Alexandra Gersten-Vassilaros' play
imagines a dinner party held shortly after 9/11 - with many
feisty guests. Harriett Trangucci played the perfect hostess, presiding over Mark Spina's perfect production."
--Peter Filichia

Flaming Guns of the Purple Sage.
This flashy but brief walk-on role can be any man's for the
right price, a sense of humor, boots, a flannel shirt and
jeans, and a desire to support the arts! Donors/stars have
their choice of dates -- the play runs July 10 through
August 3. Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 8
p.m., Sundays at 3 p.m. The donor would attend one brief
rehearsal with the cast prior to his big night.
